Matt solved a MAJOR problem when he fixed our burst water in line. The original inbound water pipe was under a pattern stamped concrete driveway (big mistake). No problem for Matt – he ran a new connection from the meter into the house avoiding the massive cost that would otherwise have been the case by mending the original pipe. Always on time, responsive and easy to deal with. Also, not expensive at all. Great plumbing service.

Had Matt turn up for a job yesterday and once again provided quality service at an affordable price. Myself and extended family have been using GOATS plumbing for many years and couldn’t be happier with Matt’s knowledge and standard of work.

I had Goats Plumbing take care of the re-plumbing for water and gas in my small unit renovation — covering the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom — and Matt was fantastic to work with. The quote was quick and fair, the work was completed on time and at a great price, and the quality was excellent. Super easy to communicate with and really collaborative throughout the project. I’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, skilled plumbing work.Definitely recommend

Same-Day Hot Water Repairs in Greensborough

Losing hot water is one of those problems that feels minor until it happens to you. Suddenly you cannot shower properly, wash dishes, or do laundry. When your hot water goes out, you want it fixed the same day, not next week. That is exactly what Goats Plumbing provides across Greensborough and surrounding areas.

We offer same-day hot water repair services for all types and brands of hot water systems. Our plumbers attend with a full range of diagnostic equipment and common replacement parts, meaning we can resolve most hot water faults in a single visit.

  • Same-day service for all hot water system types
  • Gas, electric, continuous flow, and heat pump systems
  • All major brands
  • Honest advice on repair vs replacement

Common Hot Water System Faults We Fix Same Day

Goats Plumbing regularly resolves the following hot water faults on the same day across Greensborough:

  • No hot water at all – Could be a failed heating element, faulty thermostat, tripped circuit breaker, failed pilot light, or gas supply issue depending on the system type.
  • Insufficient hot water – Failing heating element, incorrect thermostat setting, or a system that has been undersized for current household demand.
  • Lukewarm water only – Often a partially failed element in an electric system, or a temperature setting issue in a gas system.
  • Hot water system leaking – Leaking from connections or fittings is usually repairable. Leaking from the tank body itself indicates the system needs replacing.
  • Pressure relief valve dripping – A relief valve that constantly drips indicates excessive system pressure or a faulty valve requiring attention.

Repair or Replace — Our Honest Assessment

When Goats Plumbing attends a hot water repair call, we always give an honest assessment of whether repair or replacement is the better option for your situation. We never recommend a replacement just to increase the job value. Here is how we think about it:

  • If the system is relatively new and the fault is a repairable component, we will repair it.
  • If the system is old and the cost of repair approaches the cost of a new system, we will tell you and let you decide.
  • If the tank itself is leaking or the system is beyond reasonable economic repair, we will say so and provide a replacement quote on the spot.

For full replacement options, see our hot water system replacement page.

Be Ready When We Arrive

To help Goats Plumbing resolve your hot water fault as quickly as possible, here is some useful information to have ready when you call:

  • The brand and model of your hot water system (usually on a label on the unit)
  • Whether it is gas, electric, solar, or heat pump
  • How old the system is approximately
  • Exactly what is happening, whether it is no hot water, insufficient hot water, a leak, or an error code
  • Whether the issue started suddenly or has been developing over time

This information helps us bring the right parts and gives us the best chance of resolving the fault in a single visit.

Our process

How We Restore Your Hot Water Same Day

1.

Call and assessment
We ask about your system and the fault over the phone to understand what parts to bring and confirm same-day availability for your area.

2.

Diagnose the fault
On arrival, we carry out a systematic diagnosis of the hot water system to identify the exact cause of the fault.

3.

Repair or advise on replacement
We carry out the repair on the spot where possible, or provide an honest assessment and quote for replacement if repair is not the right option.

4.

Test and confirm
The system is tested to confirm hot water is restored and operating correctly. We explain the repair and advise on any maintenance or monitoring recommended going forward.

FAQs

COMMON QUESTIONS

Goats Plumbing prioritises hot water repair calls and aims to attend the same day across Greensborough and surrounding suburbs. Call us first thing in the morning for the best chance of a morning appointment.
In most cases, yes. We carry common replacement parts for all major hot water brands and can resolve most faults in a single visit. Occasionally a less common part needs to be ordered, but we will advise you of this upfront.
Check your circuit breaker or safety switch has not tripped (electric systems), check the pilot light is lit (older gas systems), and check the water isolation valve to the hot water system is open. If these are all fine and you still have no hot water, call us.
It depends on the system’s age and the nature of the fault. We provide an honest assessment when we attend and will always give you both options with honest cost advice.
Goats Plumbing charges standard rates for same-day hot water repairs during business hours. After-hours and weekend rates apply outside standard hours. We confirm pricing before dispatching.
